In This Time (shorts): Episode 3 – The Odyssey Party

Before embarking on their new Washington, D.C. adventure, the MWendo-Joseph family hosted an unforgettable party for their friends and colleagues in the Old Pueblo (Tucson, AZ). This wasn't just any going-away party; it was "The Odyssey"!

Caleb and Carmel took charge, eager to make it an unforgettable experience. Caleb, who loves active fun, insisted on a "Slip-and-Slide combined with a Tug-of-War with a Mud Pool." Imagine the chaos and laughter as teams pulled each other across the slick surface into the mud!

Beyond the splash and mud, Caleb organized a backyard treasure hunt with riddles leading to keepsakes. Carmel orchestrated a "Memory Lane Trivia" game, bringing shared past moments to life with laughter and reminiscing. There was even a station for guests to write heartfelt "Messages in a Bottle" for the family's future.

As the sun set, Carmel gathered everyone for a heartfelt farewell. Guests pinned their current and future destinations on a large map, symbolizing their different journeys. The night concluded with sparklers lit in a shining circle, celebrating new adventures and lasting memories..

The party was perfect. It was a joyful, chaotic, and deeply meaningful send-off, proving that even goodbyes can be beacons of epic new beginnings.
